CRASHING AND BURNING

I’m crashing and burning
I’m falling and breaking
I’m tossing and turning
I’m slipping and shaking

Someone help me
Before I break like glass
I can’t escape
The troubles of my past

I don’t know what to do
In this cold sweat
I feel beaten black and blue
All I can do is worry and fret

Even in my dreams
Things so wonderful
Never are
Always the way they seem

I’m crashing and burning
I’m falling and breaking
I’m tossing and turning
I’m slipping and shaking

Wish I could just
Be alone
Wish I could
Live on my own

So long I’ve been accused
Been framed
So long I’ve been abused
Been blamed

You think
It’s all a game
You think
It’s all the same

I tell you
You’re wrong
Karma’s been following you
All along

I’m crashing and burning
I’m falling and breaking
I’m tossing and turning
I’m slipping and shaking

The sun is just so unforgiving
So hot with hate for me
I feel so alone
With all the people in this city

I need to feel
The wind on the sea
I need to know
The reggae frenzy

I’m crashing and burning
I’m falling and breaking
I’m tossing and turning
I’m slipping and shaking

But time will tell
How my tale ends
Yes, and Time will tell
How my destiny bends
This is a song inspired by several of the events in my life right now and by songs like Bob Marley & the Wailers' "I'm Like a Wounded Lion In the Jungle," and the title of an unreleased track, "Pray For Me," and finally, the rare classic "Who Colt the Game".

"Bob Marley & Friends," (c) Bob Marley, 1999
